Cleaner transaction descriptions
- Reference numbers no longer clutter the description. Wire transfers, internal transfers between your own accounts, and airline ticket purchases used to arrive with a long reference or ticket number attached. These now read as the merchant or the transfer itself, and a transfer still keeps the name on the other side of it, so separate transfers stay easy to tell apart. This covers the common formats banks use for these transaction types, not every possible one.
Merchant and account name corrections
- A merchant name or account label correction can now reach your spreadsheet. Before, only a transaction's amount or category could be corrected in a row you already had; the merchant name and account label stayed as first written. From here forward, when your bank corrects a merchant name, or you rename or reconnect an account, that correction can reach the matching row on a later sync. This does not rewrite rows already sitting in your spreadsheet with an older name; it applies to corrections that happen from now on.
Excel Debt Payoff balances stay current
- Your Debts table now follows your balances. An Excel Debt Payoff workbook used to freeze its Debts table at whatever balances it had when you first created it. It now updates as your account balances change, while leaving anything you typed in by hand alone.
