Terms of Service
Last updated: August 31, 2026 (r4)
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Sheetful at sheetful.io ("Sheetful," "we," "us," or "our"), operated by Vault and Compass, LLC ("Vault & Compass"). By creating an account or using Sheetful, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
- Sheetful syncs bank transactions into a Google Sheet or Excel workbook you control.
- Bank access is read-only through Plaid. We cannot move money or see your bank password.
- Sheetful is software, not financial, tax, or investment advice.
- Paid plans renew automatically unless you cancel before the next billing date.
1. Agreement
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. If you accept these Terms on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity.
These Terms, our Privacy Policy, and any checkout or order confirmation for a paid plan are the entire agreement between you and Vault & Compass regarding Sheetful.
2. The Service
Sheetful connects to your financial institutions through Plaid, retrieves transaction data, and writes that data into a Google Sheet or Microsoft Excel workbook you authorize. We also provide templates, categorization, and related tools to help you work with that data in your spreadsheet.
Not financial advice. Sheetful is a software tool. We are not a bank, broker, investment adviser, or tax professional. Output in your spreadsheet is for your own organization and decision-making only. Consult qualified professionals before making financial decisions.
3. Your account
You sign in with Google OAuth and are responsible for keeping your Google account secure. You are responsible for all activity under your Sheetful account.
- Provide accurate account information and keep it current.
- Do not share your account credentials or session with others.
- Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Plans and billing
Free
- One connected bank account
- Manual sync
- One template
- Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel (one destination)
- No credit card required for the Free plan
Premium
- Unlimited bank connections, automatic sync, and all templates
- Pricing and billing cycle shown at checkout (annual or monthly)
- New Premium subscriptions may include a 14-day trial; a payment method is required to start the trial. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
Founders pricing
From time to time we offer an introductory annual Founders price for the same Premium capabilities, limited to the first 1,000 paid subscribers or the end of the launch window, whichever comes first. Founders pricing and eligibility are shown at checkout. If your subscription lapses, you cannot reclaim Founders pricing.
Payments
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the interval shown at checkout unless canceled. Renewals bill at the then-current price for your plan. We may change plan prices from time to time; a change takes effect at the next renewal, not during a period you have already paid for. Where required by law, we will provide notice of a price increase before it applies, and you may cancel from Settings before renewal. Founders pricing is the exception and is described above.
- You may cancel anytime from Settings; access continues through the end of the paid period.
- Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable. You retain access through the end of the billing period you already paid for.
- Stripe processes payments on our behalf.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Violate applicable laws or third-party rights
- Access another user's data or attempt to bypass security controls
- Scrape, reverse engineer, or overload the Service
- Use Sheetful for fraud, harassment, or unauthorized commercial resale
6. Third-party services
Sheetful relies on services you also agree to when you use those features:
- Plaid - bank connections (Plaid End User Services Agreement). Read-only access; we cannot initiate transactions.
- Google - sign-in and Google Sheets (Google Terms of Service). You control the spreadsheet we write to.
- Microsoft - Excel and OneDrive via Microsoft Graph (Microsoft Services Agreement), when you connect Excel. The Graph permission we request (
Files.ReadWrite) is broader than Google's per-file Sheets scope; we use it to create and update connected workbooks, not to browse your other files as a product feature. See the Privacy Policy. - Stripe - subscription billing (Stripe Terms).
We are not responsible for outages, policy changes, or acts of these providers, though we work to keep integrations reliable.
7. Your data
You own your transaction data and the spreadsheets you connect or create. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how long we keep it, and how to export or delete it. We do not sell your personal or financial information for money; our Privacy Policy describes the narrow consent-gated analytics exception some state laws treat as sharing.
8. Intellectual property
Sheetful's software, design, templates, and branding belong to Vault & Compass or its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive license to use the Service, including creating new spreadsheets from our templates, while your account is active.
Template license after termination. The template becomes part of the spreadsheet you already created in your own Google Drive or OneDrive, and under Section 7 that file remains yours after your account ends. Alongside it, we grant you a perpetual, non-exclusive license, conditioned on your compliance with the restrictions below, to keep using and modifying our template as it exists in spreadsheets you already created. This surviving license does not include the right to redistribute, resell, sublicense, or publish our templates as templates, or to use them to build a competing product. Those rights end with your account; if you breach these restrictions, this surviving license ends too.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
Sheetful is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant uninterrupted service or error-free transaction data. Verify important figures with your bank or institution.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vault & Compass is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for third-party service failures.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vault & Compass's total liability for any claim relating to Sheetful is limited to the greater of one hundred dollars ($100) or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability; this limit applies only to the extent the law allows.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Vault & Compass from claims arising from your misuse of Sheetful, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of others' rights.
11. Termination
You may delete your account anytime in Settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, fail to pay, or abuse the Service.
When your account ends:
- Your access to Sheetful stops
- Personal and financial data is removed from active systems within 30 days; encrypted disaster-recovery backups are overwritten within a further 7 days
- Security audit logs are retained up to 90 days, then deleted
- Unused prepaid subscription time is not refunded except where required by law
12. Disputes, changes, and notices
This section has three separate 30-day periods for different things: an informal-resolution window before either of us files a claim, a one-time window to opt out of arbitration entirely, and a standing window to reject any future change to arbitration. Each runs on its own trigger and does not affect the others; they are described where they appear below.
Before either of us files a formal legal claim or starts arbitration, that party must contact the other and allow 30 days to try to resolve the dispute informally. You can reach us at support@sheetful.io.
If we cannot resolve a dispute informally, it will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, on an individual basis. Arbitration hearings will be held virtually by videoconference or telephone unless you and we agree otherwise, or the arbitrator determines, on a party's request, that an in-person hearing is appropriate. If an in-person hearing is held, the locale will be determined under the AAA Rules at a location reasonably convenient to you; San Francisco, California is our preferred locale where you agree to it. Arbitration costs are allocated under the AAA Consumer Arbitration Rules' fee schedule. Either party may instead bring an individual claim in small-claims court.
Class actions and class arbitrations are waived; claims proceed on an individual basis only. If a court finds the class waiver unenforceable as to a particular claim, that claim (and only that claim) must proceed in court, and the rest of this section remains in effect.
If twenty-five (25) or more arbitration claims of a similar nature are brought against Vault & Compass by the same or coordinated counsel or parties, the claims will be resolved in staged proceedings: each side may select up to five (5) claims to proceed first as bellwether arbitrations, and the remaining claims will not be filed with the arbitration provider - and no arbitration fees will come due on them - until the bellwether arbitrations conclude. After the bellwether awards, the parties will engage in a good-faith global mediation of the remaining claims. If the mediation does not resolve the remaining claims, they may then be filed with the arbitration provider in successive stages of up to fifty (50) claims each. Any applicable statute of limitations is tolled for claims from the time they would otherwise have been filed until their stage proceeds. If a court or arbitrator finds this staging provision unenforceable as to a claim, it is severed as to that claim only and the rest of this section remains in effect. Nothing in this staging provision limits either party's right to bring an individual claim in small-claims court at any time.
YOU MAY OPT OUT of this arbitration provision entirely by emailing support@sheetful.io within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, stating your name, account email, and that you are opting out of arbitration; opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.
Rejecting a future arbitration change. If we later change this arbitration provision, you may reject that specific change by emailing support@sheetful.io within 30 days of the change, stating your name, account email, and that you are rejecting the change to arbitration. If you do, the arbitration provision as it read immediately before that change will keep governing any dispute between us, even though continued use of the Service after a Terms update otherwise counts as acceptance under this section. This is a standing right you can use separately for each future change to arbitration. It does not reopen the one-time opt-out above, and it is separate from the informal-resolution period earlier in this section.
These Terms are governed by Delaware law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Sheetful is designed for use in the United States. You may access the Service from other countries, but we make no representations and assume no obligations regarding compliance with any non-U.S. law, and we have no liability for any failure to comply with foreign law.
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Waiver. If we don't act on a violation of these Terms right away, that doesn't mean we're giving up the right to act on it later. A waiver only counts if we state it in writing.
Survival. Section 7 (Your data), Section 9 (Disclaimers and limitation of liability), Section 10 (Indemnification), the surviving template license in Section 8, and Section 12 (Disputes, changes, and notices) survive termination of your account or these Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date. If we make a material change, we will provide any notice required by applicable law and, where required, an opportunity to cancel. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
