Update sheet keeps what you typed
- Your own rows survive an update. When you accept the Update sheet banner, Sheetful now checks what is already on each tab before it writes to it, so your rows and settings stay as you left them: the manual assets and holdings you typed in, your budgets and per-category limits, your category ratings, and your alert thresholds. This applies to Google Sheets and Excel.
- A renamed transactions tab stays renamed. If you connected your own spreadsheet and chose a different tab for transactions, an update no longer switches it back to the default.
Sync status that tells you what happened
- The Sync Now button releases when the run actually finishes, instead of staying stuck on "Syncing" after the work is done.
- The activity feed counts what reached your files. A run now reads like "6 rows on 2 spreadsheets" and, when a correction changed a row that was already there, "2 rows updated".
- A spreadsheet in the trash says so. If you move a linked file to the trash, the dashboard tells you new transactions are not reaching it and offers a fix, rather than reporting a clean sync. The same goes for a file that needs you to sign in to Google or Microsoft again.
- A run that was cut off no longer shows "In Progress" forever. If a sync is interrupted, it is closed as failed with a note saying it did not complete, so you can run it again.
- You can remove an Excel workbook from Sheetful from the Excel page, the same way you already could for a Google Sheet.
Business Expense Tracker dropdowns
- The Schedule C Category and Type dropdowns now appear on every synced row. Rows added by a sync used to arrive without them; existing files pick up the fix on their next sync.
Creating a spreadsheet never replaces one you have
- If you create a workbook and a file with the same name already exists in your OneDrive, Sheetful creates a new file with a numbered name instead of writing over the old one. Google Sheets already worked this way.
Smaller things
- Airline and travel booking descriptions like flight confirmations and hotel bookings now show the airline or site name instead of the raw booking string.
- Leaving onboarding early no longer sends you back into it on your next visit.
