Written before Sheetful opened for public signup. It is kept as a snapshot of that date and has not been rewritten. For the current state of the product, read the launch post.
Sheetful is still pre-public launch. This post is a plain inventory of what works in the app today (what we've built and verified on staging), not hype about a go-live we haven't done yet.
When we do open signup publicly, we'll add a separate post for that day. Until then, treat this as the source of truth for what's actually usable today.
Bank → spreadsheet
- Connect US banks through Plaid (read-only, Sheetful cannot move money).
- Sync into Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel on OneDrive. The file lives in your account.
- Free: one bank connection, sync when you click Sync Now.
- Premium: unlimited bank connections, automatic daily sync, all seven templates. See pricing for numbers and trial terms.
Walkthroughs: Google Sheets guide · Excel guide
Seven templates
Monthly Budget (50/30/20), Spending Tracker, Debt Payoff Planner, Cash Flow Forecasting, Smart Transaction Monitoring, Business Expense Tracker, and Expense Analysis. Full list with previews on /templates.
Most charts and color rules are on Google Sheets today; Excel gets the same transactions and tab structure, with richer formatting on Sheets. We spell out the differences on /vs/tiller rather than pretending parity we don't have.
Categories
200+ built-in merchant rules on synced rows, categories you can edit yourself. Custom user rules are not live yet. We say that on the FAQ and in the app copy.
Also shipped
- CSV import for several major US bank export formats
- Data export from Settings (CSV)
- Public status page for our side of sync health, plus links to Plaid/Google/Microsoft/Stripe status
- What's new in the dashboard sidebar (red dot when there's a post you haven't opened)
- Security page: token encryption, what we store, what we don't
